Job Summary and Qualifications


JOB SUMMARY:


W
e are seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to assist in the coordination of nursing/psychiatric care provided in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

  • Observe, report, and document patient’s physiological and psychological status by using the nursing process based upon established hospital policies and procedures, unit specific policies and procedures, and/or Standards of Care/Practice.

  • Provide and document information on patient care.

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.

  • Serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient's right to privacy by protecting confidential information.

  • Follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm or potential harm.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2 Year Associates Degree preferred

  • BLS required

  • One year of experience preferred

  • Fingerprinting Required
